{"id":452,"date":"2012-12-23T22:45:53","date_gmt":"2012-12-23T21:45:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sccmfaq.wordpress.com\/?p=452"},"modified":"2012-12-23T22:45:53","modified_gmt":"2012-12-23T21:45:53","slug":"sccm-2012-sp1-user-data-and-profiles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.hosebei.ch\/?p=452","title":{"rendered":"SCCM 2012 SP1 &#8211; User Data and Profiles"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In this Post, I would like to explain, what we can do for Roaming Profiles, Offline Files and Folder Redirection with System Center 2012 Configuration Manager.<!--more--><br \/>\nThe Options are quite the same as you can get with Group Policy Objects, but in some circumstance, it might be more comfortable, when you decide to configure the User Profile with SCCM, rather than with GPO. The new MDOP Feature UE-V (User Experience Virtualization) is not configurable with SCCM 2012 SP1.<\/p>\n<p>Here are the steps, which are necessary, to achieve a configured user Profile with SCCM 2012 SP1.<br \/>\nFirst, you have to check your Client Setting, if the Feature is active or not:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/blog.hosebei.ch\/2012\/12\/23\/sccm-2012-sp1-user-data-and-profiles\/roaming00\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-456\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-456\" alt=\"Compliance Settings\" src=\"http:\/\/hosebei.wordpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/roaming00.png?w=300\" width=\"300\" height=\"231\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.hosebei.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/roaming00.png 792w, https:\/\/blog.hosebei.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/roaming00-300x231.png 300w, https:\/\/blog.hosebei.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/roaming00-768x592.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nAfterwards, it starts in the Assets and Compliance Section, where you open the Compliance Settings tree, click right on User Data and Profiles and create a new Configuration Item:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/blog.hosebei.ch\/2012\/12\/23\/sccm-2012-sp1-user-data-and-profiles\/roaming01\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-454\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-454 aligncenter\" alt=\"Create User Data and Profiles Configuration Item\" src=\"http:\/\/hosebei.wordpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/roaming01.png?w=300\" width=\"300\" height=\"145\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.hosebei.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/roaming01.png 586w, https:\/\/blog.hosebei.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/roaming01-300x146.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Now you have to choose which Setting should get configured:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/blog.hosebei.ch\/2012\/12\/23\/sccm-2012-sp1-user-data-and-profiles\/roaming02\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-455\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-455\" alt=\"Roaming02\" src=\"http:\/\/hosebei.wordpress.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/roaming02.png?w=300\" width=\"300\" height=\"247\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.hosebei.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/roaming02.png 824w, https:\/\/blog.hosebei.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/roaming02-300x248.png 300w, https:\/\/blog.hosebei.ch\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/roaming02-768x635.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>The first Screen of the wizards let you configure the usual settings&nbsp;for Folder redirection.
