It was announced, and I was strongly waiting for it: The availability to deploy EAS profiles to Mobile Devices like iOS and Windows Phone 8 with Intune and System Center 2012 Configuration Manager R2. Microsoft brought us this Feature last week like a wave, you will be noticed that your Intune Instance is updated, if you receive this message box when starting the config Manager console:
\n\"Intune<\/a>
\nThis means, we can now deploy a fully automated bring your own device Scenario with Windows Intune. <\/p>\n

I was a Little bit excited, finally my Instance got the update. So I just headed to the Administration node and opened “Extensions for Windows Intune”:
\n\"Email<\/a>
\nThere I just enabled the Email Profile Extension and had to accept the license Terms:
\n\"License<\/a>
\nNow you can Close and reopen the console. The following message appears, if you click OK, you will be prompted for administrative credentials to install the console Extension:
\n\"Extension<\/a>
\nThe extensions will be installed:
\n\"Install<\/a>
\nAnd when the Installation is finished, this Dialog will be shown:
\n\"Extension<\/a>
\nWhen the console is open again, just go to “Compliance Settings” and open the tree “Company Resource Access”, With a right-click on “Email Profiles” you can create a new Exchange ActiveSync Profile:
\n\"Create<\/a>
\nType a Name for the EAS Profile:
\n\"EAS<\/a>
\nEnter the properties for the EAS Connection, the “Account Name” is the name used on the Device as identification of the Mailbox:
\n\"EAS<\/a>
\nThe next step is to define the synchronization Settings:
\n\"Extension<\/a>
\nYou can also select on which platform this Profile is allowed, and also see which platforms are supported:
\n\"Intune<\/a>
\nIn the summary page Review your Settings and finish the wizard by clicking on Next twice:
\n\"Extension<\/a>
\nYou can now deploy the Email Profile to a collection:
\n\"Deploy<\/a><\/p>\n

This also enables you to use the selective wipe on an iOS device. Unfortunately a selective wipe on a Windows Phone 8 is currently not possible (grrr….). But the best Thing: It is really working out of the box! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
