SCCM 2012 R2 SP1 – No longer Need of Company Portal for Windows Phone 8.1

With the newly available Service Pack 1 for SCCM 2012 R2, there is no Need to create a self-signed Company Portal for the Windows Phone 8.1. For old Windows Phone 8.0 you will still need the signed Company Portal, but who really does still use Windows Phone 8.1? Continue reading

SCCM 2012 R2 – Include Client Hotfix or Cumulative Update while on OSD

Refer to this Blog post, I decided to create a new one about including Hotfixes in OSD. Specially the new Release of SCCM 2012 R2 brings an annoying issue with extremly slow Downloads while on OSD (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2910552 ; this Hotfix superseding the KB2905002 which was first used in this blog).

There are two nice ways, how to apply Hotfixes like this to the Client while on OSD, one is documented and thus supported, the other one does just work 🙂 Continue reading

In this post, I would like to show, how to integrate the Client hotfix cumulative update 1 in the operating System deployment Task sequence. First, CU1 is released and it will create update packages for Site Server, console and client (x64 & x86) installations when you apply this cumulative update to your System Center 2012 Configuration Manager SP1 Environment.
