This is a small Blogpost about the Installation of System Center 2012 Configuration Manager with Service Pack 1.
Installation requirements for SQL Server 2012 (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg682077.aspx)
You only need the following Features: Database Engine Services and Reporting Services (usally you will use Reporting in SCCM, otherwise the Database Engine is all you need)
Collation: SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS
SQL Server 2012 Service Pack 1 is currently not supported, but you have to install SQL Server 2012 Cumulative Update 2 for SCCM 2012 SP1.
SCCM Server requirements:
-Install the following Windows Server 2012 Features: .Net 3.5, Remote Differential Compression, BITS
-Install the following Windows Server 2012 Roles: WSUS, IIS (Important: IIS 6 WMI Compatibility)
-Install Windows 8 ADK: http://www.microsoft.com/de-ch/download/details.aspx?id=30652
If SQL and SCCM is not on the same machine, the SCCM server object needs to be Administrator on the SQL Server
After this, you can start with your Installation, mind, that you need Firewall exceptions if the SQL Server is on a remote Machine.
Do you know when SCCM 2012 Sp1 will support SQL Sever 2012 SP1?
Thanks
There are no infromation about this Topic. Just check http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg682077.aspx#BKMK_SupConfigSQLDBconfig for an update.
News:
http://blogs.technet.com/b/configmgrteam/archive/2013/02/11/support-announcements-for-february-2013.aspx
But it seems you will still Need a SQL 2012 (without SP1) for reporting Point. And mind, that WSUS is not supported on SQL 2012.
Cheers for the update info…
Technet now tells, that SP1 is supported:
